New adventures await....with a new direction!

I am super excited! I haven't posted much on accessible travel lately because I've been rethinking my endeavor to offer tips on accessible travel. I have not been disabled long, only about 5 years, and so much of this is new to me. I am still learning to navigate life in a wheelchair. I have decided to move my commitment to wheelchair travel in a different direction. I have worked most of my adult life in the travel and tourism industry, working with airlines, hotels, and cruise lines. Because of this extensive experience, I have decided to open a travel agency that will be an advocate for accessible travel.

In a world that's becoming increasingly accessible and diverse, the travel industry has taken significant strides toward catering to everyone's wanderlust. One emerging trend is the rise of content creators specializing in accessible travel. The stories of pioneers like Cory Lee of Curb Free with Cory Lee and Sylvia Longmire of Spin the Globe have been amazing and inspiring! As I embark on a journey of becoming a travel agent with a mission to empower travelers with mobility issues, I can't help but acknowledge the profound contributions of these trailblazers.

Travel is often seen as a transformative experience that allows us to step outside our comfort zones and immerse ourselves in new cultures, landscapes, and perspectives. However, planning a trip can come with many challenges for those with mobility issues. This is where the role of an inclusive travel agent comes into play. Becoming such an agent isn't just a career choice; it's a commitment to enabling dreams and breaking down barriers for travelers of all abilities.

As I embark on my journey as a travel agent who promises to be an advocate for accessible travel, my goal is to honor the legacies of trailblazers like Cory Lee and Sylvia Longmire by extending their mission of showing the world that travel is not only possible, but accessible to all, including those in a wheelchair. I am dedicated to providing solutions that cater to wheelchair traveler's unique travel needs while working with them to fulfill their dreams. Whether planning a cruise, an all-inclusive vacation, exploring Europe, marveling at the wonders of Alaska, or experiencing the magic of Disney, I am committed to crafting seamless and unforgettable experiences.

But my commitment doesn't stop there. I recognize that the essence of inclusivity lies in serving everyone. Regardless of whether a traveler has a disability, I will use my expertise to create extraordinary journeys to see dreams come true.

Becoming an inclusive travel agent is more than just a profession; it's a chance to be a beacon of hope and possibility for those who might have thought travel was out of reach.

Ultimately, travel is about embracing adventure, stepping into the unknown, and experiencing the world's beauty. I'm ready to embark on this journey, crafting unforgettable travel experiences that enrich the lives of all who choose to explore. So, whether you're dreaming of an accessible getaway or seeking a remarkable journey, know I'm here to work with you and turn your travel dreams into reality.
